Newly devised algorithm from psych/medlegal/ethics for patient wanting to leave AMA. 

Important thing to note:

  1. Unless pt elopes, pt must be seen by in-house physician.  visit cannot be done by virtual.
  2. Physician visit must be documented to include .gsaacapacity as part of your exam.
  3. Highly recommended to include DC instruction, meds, and follow up appt if patient is willing to accept.  If not, also document.
  4. Highly recommended to have third party (Rn) document as your witness in capacity and R&B discussion provided.
