  • KPHC Downtime Protocol

    • More information on KPHC Downtown Protocols
    • Lab orders that are scheduled to be drawn during the downtime must be placed before 12:15 AM.
    • The KPHC team will pre-release the 2:00 AM draws before the start of the outage.
    • Once the downtime starts, log out of KPHC and follow the downtime procedures. To view a chart, log in using the KPHC Downtime icon (see link above)
    • Document on paper downtime forms
    • Use paper lab requisitions for any specimens sent to the lab during the outage. Call the Lab for urgent lab draws.
    • For questions during the outage: Call National KP Help Desk (at 888-457- 4872) and/or your facility Director of Clinical Education Practice and Informatics (DCEPI).
